ComfyUI Generative AI Production for VFX
A two-course pathway (AIF201 + AIF202) taking you from foundational generative workflows to advanced video production.
AIF201: Generative AI for VFX with ComfyUI & InvokeAI
We build a practical foundation in the Stable Diffusion process using ComfyUI and InvokeAI — creating workflows for seamless textures, matte-painting elements, and fully textured 3D assets, through models, ControlNets, IP adapters, inpainting, and upscaling. By the end you'll use generative AI as a flexible tool inside your pipeline. No prior AI experience required.
AIF202: ComfyUI Generative Video Production for VFX
The advanced follow-up, moving from stills into generative video. We work with WAN diffusion models and cinematic camera motion, and transfer camera and character animation from Maya into ComfyUI via ControlNets and OpenPose — then cover Wan Wrapper, Uni3C, and TimeToMove, plus upscaling, temporal enhancement, and finishing in Nuke.
AIF203: Introduction to Griptape Nodes
Griptape Nodes is a fast-emerging AI platform — now backed by Foundry, makers of Nuke. We start by comparing it with ComfyUI, then work through real production workflows — from AI image editing and script-breakdown agents to Stable Diffusion pipelines and AI video — before getting to what matters most: integrating with Nuke and Maya.
Whether you're a ComfyUI user expanding your toolkit or exploring AI for the first time, it's a practical foundation in one of the most promising AI platforms out there.
The VFX Supervisor Masterclass
Coming soon on ActionVFX

A comprehensive 27-video course covering the complete arc of the supervisor's role — breaking down a script, bidding and budgeting, running the VFX on set, and driving shots through post to final delivery. We ground every stage in case studies from films I supervised, including Hereditary, Uncut Gems, and The Lost City of Z.
Throughout, we focus on the reasoning and decision-making behind the role, not just the techniques.
